Aftab Amin Poonawala admits to burning Shraddha’s face to conceal his identify in a crime in Delhi.

New Delhi: According to the Delhi Police, the accused, Aftab Poonawala, burned Shraddha Walkar’s face in order to conceal her identity.

According to sources with the Delhi Police, he first chopped up her body into 35 pieces before burning her face so it would be impossible to identify even if the body parts were found.

According to the sources, “Aftab revealed during the interrogation that he had learned about all of this on the internet, as well as about how to hide the body from everyone’s reach.”

In an effort to match the DNA sample of chopped body parts, including a human head, which the latter had discovered earlier in June, the Southern District Police of Delhi have contacted their Eastern counterparts in an effort to close yet another loophole in the Shraddha Walker murder investigation.

Sources claim that in June of this year, nearly a month after Shraddha was killed, the East Delhi Police discovered a chopped head and hand in the Trilokpuri neighbourhood of Pandav Nagar police station.

Because of the tampered state of the recovered body parts in the East Delhi case, the police were unable to identify whose body parts they were.

The forensic report on the body pieces discovered in East Delhi were sent for a DNA test, and it will be available soon.

A DNA test has also been requested for the bones discovered in the Mehrauli forests. According to the sources, the police will compare the DNA reports of all the pieces found at both locations in an effort to determine whether the body parts were those of Shraddha.

The Eastern District Police has been contacted about this by the Southern District Police. The South District Police received all the data from the East District Police.

Sources claim that Aftab admitted to the police during his questioning that he had first disposed of any parts of Shraddha’s body that might smell bad before he killed her and chopped up her body into 35 pieces.

According to the sources, “accused Aftab told the police that he used bleach to destroy the evidence and also used chemicals so that there was not a single stain of blood on the floor.”

“He threw the entire body into the foreground.”

as well as the left thumb in another region,” the sources noted.

According to police sources, he displayed no remorse during his interrogation.

“When the officer speaks to the accused in Hindi, he responds in English.” He sleeps quietly all night in the police station jail. “After the murder, the accused Aftab’s buddies came to the house…but he had buried the parts somewhere else during that time,” the source claimed.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have discovered a new lead in the investigation of the Shraddha Walker murder case, in which they discovered a pending water bill in accused Aftab Poonawala’s flat, despite the fact that the government provides 20,000 litres of water free of charge in Delhi.

The police, according to sources, learned from Aftab’s neighbours that he owed Rs 300 in water bills.

Because the Delhi government gives 20,000 litres of free water, the police are likely to investigate this matter. Two neighbours on the floor above Aftab had reported to the police that the water bill for all floors was zero, except for Aftab’s, which had an outstanding due of Rs 300, which raised suspicions.

“Aftab used a lot of water to clean up the blood stains after the murder, resulting in a large water bill and an outstanding debt.” According to the sources, “neighbors told the police that Aftab used to go and check the building’s water tank on a regular basis.”

The police have also learned that Aftab wrote Shraddha’s name first and his own name last in the rent agreement he signed.

“The unit owner was aware that they were not married. They were provided the apartment by a broker. “Aftab used to deposit Rs 9,000 into the owner’s account between the 8th and 10th of every month,” the sources said.

The water bill is also likely to be a factor in the investigation. According to the sources, if the court grants the police additional custody, they will likely investigate this angle as well.

Aftab had previously told police that the couple had a disagreement before the murder about the relocation of home items from Mumbai.

According to the police inquiry, the couple had a fight on May 18, during which Aftab killed Shraddha.

According to Delhi Police, the fight on May 18 was not Aftab and Shraddha’s first. They had been fighting for three years.

“On the 18th of May, the two got into a disagreement over transporting household things from Mumbai. They used to argue about who would pay the household bills and provide stuff. Aftab became enraged as a result of this. The fight began around 8 p.m. on May 18, when Aftab strangled Shraddha to death. He left her body in the room overnight before going shopping.

Aftab was apprehended on Saturday after Delhi police began investigating a missing person case made by Shraddha’s father, Vikas Walker.

In the early stages of the investigation, Aftab attempted to deceive the police in Delhi and Mumbai.

Aftab attempted to conceal the murder of Shraddha by removing all physical evidence; however, he left the digital evidence, which the police used to determine the truth of the case.

When the Delhi Police launched their investigation, Aftab told them that Shraddha had left the house after a fight on May 22 (Shraddha was killed on May 18). He claimed she had only brought her phone and had left her belongings in his flat. He claimed she was unavailable and

However, the truth was revealed when the authorities verified the couple’s phone records and probed their movements.

The police obtained the couple’s bank statement, which revealed a transaction of Rs 54,000 from Shraddha’s net banking account app to Aftab’s account on May 26. According to the sources, the transaction exposed Aftab’s lies, in which he previously stated that Shraddha was unreachable after May 22 and that he did not contact her.

The location of the bank transfer on May 26 was also revealed to be the Mehrauli police station area.

Aside from that, on May 31, Shraddha’s Instagram account had a conversation with a buddy. When the authorities discovered Shraddha’s phone, they discovered it at the Mehrauli police station region of Delhi.

Aftab was unable to respond to the police question of why, if Shraddha had carried her phone with her, its location had been traced to his house. Aftab revealed the truth at this precise moment.

According to Maharashtra Police officials, after Shraddha’s family was unable to contact her owing to her phone being turned off, they filed a missing persons report at the Manikpur police station. Aftab was summoned to the Manikpur police station for questioning in response to the complaint.

Meanwhile, Shraddha’s father demanded the death penalty for the suspects on Tuesday, suspecting ‘love jihad’ as the cause of the crime.

“I assume love jihad,” Shraddha’s father, Vikas Walker, told ANI. We urge that Aftab receive the death penalty. I trust the Delhi Police since the probe is heading in the correct path. Shraddha was close to her uncle and didn’t say much to me. I never got in touch with Aftab. “I filed the initial complaint in the matter in Vasai (Mumbai).”

“I last spoke to Shraddha in 2021.” I’d ask her to tell me more about her live-in boyfriend. She didn’t say much, though. I had no idea she had moved to Delhi. Her friend informed me that she was in Delhi. I assumed she was in Bengaluru. Aftab had plenty of time to get rid of everything.
