The royal court in Thailand said on Thursday that the eldest child of Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn, who was hospitalised owing to a cardiac ailment, had reached a certain level of stabilisation.
Princess Bajrakitiyabha, 44, was treated at a nearby hospital after becoming ill and losing consciousness early on Wednesday in northeastern Nakhon Ratchasima province.
The palace said in a statement that she was evacuated by helicopter to Bangkok once her condition stabilised at a particular point, without going into further detail.
The princess is eligible for the throne in accordance with a 1924 Palace Law of Succession and the laws of the nation because she is one of King Vajiralongkorn’s three legally recognised children.
Since attaining the throne in 2016, King Vajiralongkorn has failed to legally name a successor, and the possibility of the princess ascending to the throne has not been officially discussed.

The princess, who has worked with the United Nations and represented Thailand in Austria, Slovenia, and Slovakia, was present at a working dog competition that the army had organised when she passed out, according to the palace.
On Thursday, it was reported that she was receiving care and having her status monitored at the Chulalongkorn hospital in Bangkok.
The 1974 constitution amendment permitted a daughter of the royal line to take the throne if a successor had not been selected, notwithstanding the palace succession law’s requirement that the heir to the throne be male.
